I need to backup my files, but am concerned about security. What type of external backup is safe?
The OIT backs up AFS and NetFile on a regular basis. We recommend storing your sensitive data in the Private folder in either AFS or NetFile. You should not store sensitive data on a USB "flash" drive unless it is encrypted, due to the high likelihood of loss or theft.
