Are there rules concerning the security of University laptops outside of the office?
Yes. Like any other computer, laptops must meet the appropriate University Security Configuration Standard. Laptops that contain Highly Sensitive information must be encrypted before being removed from campus. The OIT also recommends encryption for laptops that contain Sensitive information.
